Adult Strabismus

To Our Adult Patients

We evaluate and treat adult patients, generally by referral, who have problems related to strabismus (misaligned eyes), diplopia (double vision), or other complex visual or eye muscle disorders.

There is a good deal of cross-fertilization between the fields of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Adult Strabismus. Similar evaluation and treatment techniques are used in both fields. We will work closely with your referring doctor and may request consultations from other physicians in order to develop a treatment plan for you. Treatments may require glasses, prisms, medications, exercises or surgery.

Please bring your most recent glasses with you. For safety, plan to have a driver. The initial examination will usually require dilating drops that will relax your focusing and blur your vision.

Your initial visit to our office will last approximately 1 1/2 hours.
